OMG how cool is that - jealous over here!!
I can't believe you met Matt Groening and Art Spielgelman in the same evening! Why oh why was I too skint to go to London this month? (I know the answer very well). It's good to see other people getting intensely nervous around their comic idols too. Do I give them my comic? Is that too self promotey? etc.
blimey! at least you were "armed" with your comics. I'm sure they were excited to meet THE Jim Medway as well, you know.

I am so kicking myself. I was planning to come even though I didn't have a ticket and then I stupidly forgot. Would have been great to see you, not to mention all the other illustrious folk that were there.
How dare you make Spain a footnote!! Grrr!! And all that.
Back in the olden days I got 'Artie' to sign some Garbage Pail Kids stickers to give away with copies of either Moral Sense or Hungry and Homeless. He was doing a Maus reading at Waterstones. I still have some, and they surface, Brigadoon-like, every now and then. If you want one, let me know.

Don't worry about Spain. He's a crusty old sexist anyway. Next time I see one of the Spiegelman-signed cards I'll net it and send it over to you.
